The main Tapovan road is narrow, busy, and shared with pedestrians, dogs and delivery vehicles. Ride it slowly.

Getting out of Tapovan
Tapovan is the better end of Rishikesh to start a ride from. You're already above the town, so you skip the market traffic entirely — the Neelkanth road and the Badrinath road both open up within minutes.
