About Anubhav Travel

We've been at Ram Jhula since 2015.

Hem and Rohit Tiwari started Anubhav Travel in 2015 with 4 motorcycles near the Ram Jhula bridge in Swarg Ashram. We're still in the same place, still locally owned, and still the people who hand you the keys.

Rishikesh was already drawing backpackers and yoga travellers by 2015, but almost nobody was renting out well-maintained Enfields with someone who'd actually stand behind the bike after you rode off. Most of what passed for a rental shop back then was a padlocked shutter and a phone number that stopped answering the moment something went wrong.

The turning point came early: a rider broke down on the Chopta road on a bike we'd sent out without checking the chain properly. We drove out ourselves, at night, to fix it — and realised that showing up was the entire business. Not the bikes, not the price. Whether we picked up the phone.

Ten years on, the fleet has grown, the shop is still steps from where it started, and the two of us still hand over the keys most days. We've turned people away when their licence didn't match the bike, argued them out of routes we thought were unsafe, and kept a mechanic's number in every itinerary we hand out. None of that has changed since the first four bikes.

What We Do

Rentals. We're a Royal Enfield specialist — Himalayan 450, Himalayan 411, Guerrilla 450, Classic 350 and Hunter 350, plus a Honda Activa 125 for getting around town. All insured, all serviced on schedule, all carrying commercial taxi-series plates so they're legal for self-drive across Uttarakhand.

Tours. Guided motorcycle expeditions into the Garhwal and Kumaon Himalaya — Adi Kailash, Chardham, Do Dham, Chopta. We started running these because riders kept coming back from trips they'd planned alone and telling us what had gone wrong.

How We Work

We tell you when the answer is no. If your licence doesn't cover the bike, we won't rent it to you. If you want to take a scooty to Kedarnath, we'll explain why that's a bad idea. If you want to do Adi Kailash and you've only ridden in the city, we'll suggest Chopta first. This costs us bookings and we do it anyway.

The price doesn't change. What we quote is what you pay. No cleaning charge invented at return, no fuel-gauge argument, no peak-season surprise.

We answer. If something goes wrong 150 km away, you get a person on WhatsApp and a mechanic contact on your route.
