Where This Bike Can Take You

Rishikesh is the trailhead. Our bikes carry all-Uttarakhand permissions and a taxi-series number plate, so you can legally ride anywhere in the state — no checkpoint arguments, no fines.

Riding beyond Rishikesh? Tell us where you're going when you book. We'll fit the right bike, check the chain and tyres for the distance, give you our mechanic's number for the route, and tell you honestly whether the road is open.

Why Riders Choose Us

Papers that hold up

Every bike is government-approved for self-drive and carries a commercial taxi-series plate. That means you can ride into any district of Uttarakhand without a checkpost problem. Plenty of Rishikesh shops rent private-plate bikes — those are technically illegal for self-drive rental and they're your problem at the barrier, not theirs.

Maintained, not just parked

Bikes are serviced on a schedule, not when something breaks. Tyres, brakes, chain and lights are checked before every single handover, and we check them with you standing there.

We answer the phone at 9 PM in Chopta

If something goes wrong 150 km from here, you get a human on WhatsApp and a mechanic contact on your route. Not a call centre. Not a form.

Local since 2015

We live here. We know which road washed out last week, which fuel pump on the Badrinath road is reliable, and where the police check papers. That's worth more than a discount.

Honest pricing

The rate you're quoted is the rate you pay. No cleaning charge invented at return, no fuel gauge argument, no "peak season" surprise.

Bike Rental in Rishikesh — FAQs

How much does it cost to rent a bike in Rishikesh?

A Honda Activa 125 scooty is ₹500 per day. Royal Enfields start at ₹1,200 for the Hunter 350, ₹1,300 for the Classic 350, ₹1,400 for the Himalayan 411, ₹1,800 for the Guerrilla 450 and ₹2,000 for the Himalayan 450. Rates drop for rentals of three days or more. Fuel is not included in any rate.

What documents do I need to rent a bike in Rishikesh?

An original driving licence valid for the vehicle class, plus one original government photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID or Passport) which stays with us until the bike is returned. Foreign visitors need a passport and an International Driving Permit.

Can foreigners rent a bike in Rishikesh?

Yes. You'll need your passport and a valid International Driving Permit from your home country. An IDP is legally required to drive in India on a foreign licence, and we can't rent to you without one — but bring it and the process is exactly the same as for anyone else.

Do you deliver the bike to my hotel?

Yes, free anywhere in Rishikesh — Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Swarg Ashram, Muni Ki Reti, the railway station and the bus stand included. Message us your location on WhatsApp.

Is fuel included in the rental price?

No. You collect the bike with whatever fuel is in it and return it the same way. Fuel is your cost.

How much is the security deposit?

₹3,000 for scooties and 150cc bikes, ₹5,000 for Royal Enfields and the Himalayan. It's fully refundable when the bike comes back undamaged.

Can I take the bike to Kedarnath, Badrinath or Chardham?

Yes. Our bikes carry commercial taxi-series plates and are approved for self-drive across Uttarakhand, so you can legally ride to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Chopta, Auli, Harsil and anywhere else in the state. Tell us your route when you book so we can prepare the bike for the distance.

Which bike should I rent for a mountain trip?

For anything above Rishikesh — Chopta, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Auli — take a Himalayan, either the 411 or the 450. Long-travel suspension and ground clearance make a real difference on broken hill road, and the upright riding position matters after six hours. For twisty tarmac like the Devprayag run, the Guerrilla 450 is the more enjoyable bike. For city riding and short trips around Rishikesh, the Activa is easier and much cheaper.

What if the bike breaks down during my trip?

Call or WhatsApp us. We'll connect you with a mechanic on your route, and for major mechanical failures that aren't caused by an accident, we arrange a replacement or recovery. Save our number before you leave.

Is it safe to ride a scooty in Rishikesh?

Yes, and it's the most common way visitors get around. Roads inside town are in good condition. Ride slowly through the Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula lanes where pedestrians and cows have right of way in practice, and avoid riding after dark on hill roads outside town.

Do you rent bikes by the hour?

Our standard rental is a full day, 8 AM to 8 AM. For short local trips, message us and we'll work something out.

How far in advance should I book?

In peak season — April to June, and September to November — book three to four days ahead, especially for a Himalayan or a Royal Enfield. Off-season, same-day is usually fine.

What happens if I return the bike late?

Return the bike by 8 PM on your final day, or by 8 AM the next morning at the latest. Beyond 8 AM, a full additional day is charged.
