A large share of what we rent out in Tapovan goes to people on 200-hour or 300-hour teacher training courses — here for three or four weeks, needing to get to class in the morning and the market in the afternoon, every day, for the length of the course. If that's you, renting by the day is the expensive way to do it, and it's worth understanding the actual numbers before you commit to either approach.

The math

Thirty days at our daily Activa rate of ₹500 works out to ₹15,000. Our monthly rate is ₹9,000 — around 40% cheaper, for the same scooty, the same length of time. Even a shorter three-week course still comes out ahead on the monthly rate compared with paying daily, since the discount kicks in well before the full 30 days.

The free servicing matters more than it sounds for a month-long rental — a scooty ridden daily for four weeks genuinely needs a chain check and general once-over partway through, and having that built in rather than an extra cost or an extra trip to arrange is one less thing to think about during a course that already has its own demands on your time.

Why a scooty specifically

For getting around Tapovan, Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula daily, a scooty beats a Royal Enfield on every practical measure — easier to park in tight guesthouse spots, cheaper, and there's no licence-class complication (a gearless two-wheeler licence is all you need, and most international students without motorcycle experience can manage an automatic scooty comfortably from day one). Delivery

We deliver free to your guesthouse or yoga school in Tapovan, Laxman Jhula or Ram Jhula/Swarg Ashram. Tell us your location on WhatsApp and we'll bring it to you rather than have you cross the river on foot to collect it on your first day — a genuine convenience if you're arriving with luggage and don't yet know your way around.

Setting it up before you land

If you already know your course dates, message us your arrival date and roughly which guesthouse or ashram you're booked into. We can hold a scooty for you and have the paperwork largely sorted before you even arrive — send a photo of your licence and ID ahead on WhatsApp, same as any other rental, and the handover on day one takes a few minutes rather than being the first errand you have to run in an unfamiliar town.

What happens if your course dates shift

Courses occasionally extend or get cut short — message us if that happens and we'll work out the fairest adjustment to the rental period rather than holding you strictly to the original dates. This is a genuinely common situation with TTC students and we'd rather sort it directly than have it be a source of friction at the end of your stay.
