How Much Does Bike Rental Cost in Rishikesh? An Honest Price Guide

The short answer: bike rental in Rishikesh costs from ₹500 a day for a Honda Activa 125 scooty and from ₹1,200 to ₹2,000 a day for a Royal Enfield, depending on the model. The rate falls if you rent for three days or more, and again for seven days or more. Fuel is not included. These are our rates; other shops differ, so the section further down explains how to compare them fairly.

Rates are per day, and a rental day runs from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The "3+ Days" and "7+ Days" columns are the per-day rate when you keep the vehicle for that long. The full rate card, with every policy, is on our rates and policies page.
What decides the price?
- The vehicle. A scooty is the cheapest. The Hunter 350 is the cheapest Royal Enfield, the Classic 350 and Himalayan 411 sit in the middle, and the Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450 cost the most.
- How long you keep it. Three days or more and seven days or more each bring the daily rate down.
- Monthly rental. For the Activa, a month is ₹9,000, which is how many yoga course students and long-stay visitors rent. See the monthly rental guide.
- Not the season. We do not add a "peak season" charge. The rate you are quoted is the rate you pay.
What is included, and what is not
Included in every rental: helmet, chain lock, luggage carrier, insurance, and free delivery anywhere in Rishikesh.
Not included: fuel (you return it with the fuel it had when you collected it), tolls, parking and entry fees, and any traffic fine issued during your rental.
Deposit: ₹3,000 for the Activa and ₹5,000 for a Royal Enfield, refundable in full when the vehicle is returned undamaged. We also hold one original government photo ID until return.
Example budgets
- A week in town on the Activa: 7 days at ₹400 a day is ₹2,800, plus a little petrol.
- A 3-day Chopta ride on a Himalayan 411: 3 days at ₹1,300 a day is ₹3,900. The round trip is about 400 km, so budget roughly 13 to 15 litres of petrol at the 411's real-world mileage of about 30 km per litre. See the Chopta route guide.

How to compare bike rental prices fairly
A low daily rate is only cheap if the rest of the deal matches. Ask every shop these six questions and compare the answers, not just the headline price:
- Is the plate a commercial taxi-series plate? A private-plate bike is not legal for self-drive rental and becomes your problem at a checkpost. Ours are commercial plates, approved for self-drive across Uttarakhand.
- How much is the deposit, and how is it returned? It should be refundable the same day, in cash or the way you paid.
- What happens if I am late? Ask for the exact rule in writing. Ours is on the rates page.
- What is the fuel policy? Return it as you collected it, with no top-up charge.
- Is it insured, and what do I pay if there is damage?
- Are there extra charges at return, such as a "cleaning fee" nobody mentioned on the phone?
