Yes. With Anubhav Travel, swimming is not required to go rafting. Every guest is given a life jacket, helmet and paddle, all checked for safety, and a registered, certified guide gives the briefing and safety instructions before the trip starts.
The requirements are the same on every route: participants must be between 14 and 60 years old and healthy, with no heart or lung problems, and guests fill in a no-claim (consent) form before the trip. If you cannot swim, mention it when you enquire about rafting so the team knows, and tell us about anyone in your group with a health question before you pay.
Operators differ, so whichever company you book with, ask a specific question instead of only ‘Is rafting safe?’: ‘I cannot swim. What are the participation requirements for this route, and what equipment and briefing do you provide?’
Give an accurate description of your ability and concerns. Do not say you are comfortable in water because someone else in the group is. If the booking is for several people, raise individual questions rather than speaking generally for everyone.
Ask what equipment is supplied and how fitting and checks are carried out. Equipment provision is important, but it is not a reason to ignore route requirements, operating decisions or the briefing.
Online content cannot replace the guide’s directions, hands-on briefing or emergency arrangements. Avoid treating short videos or blog advice as training for what to do in the river.
Ask about the route, start and finish points and expected duration. Clarify whether any optional water activities are proposed and what participation means. Do not assume that stopping or entering the water is included, required or appropriate for every person.
The route selection guide explains why distance alone is not a suitability test. A short package label should not override a direct discussion with the operator.
Tell the team if you are uncertain about participating, understanding instructions or meeting a requirement. Ask whether the question can be resolved before payment and what happens if the operator determines that you cannot join.
Read the eligibility and cancellation conditions together. Discovering a mismatch at reporting can affect your day and your refund options. Keep the operating team’s response with your booking records.
Friends may be enthusiastic, but participation should follow confirmed requirements and your own informed decision. Ask questions privately if that helps you describe concerns accurately. Another participant’s past experience does not establish your eligibility.
If you decide not to join, ask about any practical waiting arrangements. Do not assume non-participants can accompany transport or access launch areas.
Read what to expect on a first trip and the packing questions. Follow the actual operator’s instructions and attend the briefing attentively.
Send a clear enquiry through the main rafting page. A specific answer about the proposed trip is more useful than a blanket promise about rafting for all non-swimmers.
No. Swimming is not required. You wear a life jacket and helmet, and your guide gives a safety briefing before the trip starts.
No general article can make that determination. The operator must confirm the route’s requirements and assess the relevant participant information.
Provide accurate individual information and resolve your own concerns with the team before confirmation.
