Your first rafting experience starts before reaching the river. Understanding the reporting process, the briefing and the full schedule helps you arrive prepared and ask better questions.
This is a planning outline, not a description of a confirmed itinerary. When you enquire about rafting with Anubhav Travel, ask for the operator’s actual arrangements for your selected date and route.
Keep your confirmation, meeting pin, reporting time and booking contact accessible. Check the participant requirements and the operator-approved clothing list. If you are uncertain about swimming requirements or suitability, resolve that before paying rather than waiting until departure.
Tell the booking team about practical constraints such as a train later that day. Arrange your journey to the reporting point with time to spare. The rafting launch point and the booking office may be different locations.
At reporting, you may need to complete the operator’s check-in process and confirm participant details. Ask in advance about any required identification, forms and how luggage is handled. Do not assume there is secure storage for everything you bring.
The booking should explain transport to the launch point, if included. Allow time for this transfer and for preparing the group. Our rafting day itinerary guide helps you plan around the entire outing.
The operating team should explain the equipment supplied and how it is used. Ask for help with fit and report anything that feels incorrect before starting. Follow the operator’s checks instead of treating equipment as a photo prop.
During the briefing, pay attention to the guide’s instructions and ask questions when something is unclear. This article does not replace hands-on instructions or emergency training. If you have language or hearing requirements, discuss them with the booking team beforehand.
Expect to follow the guide’s directions and work with the other participants. The exact experience depends on the route and conditions. Avoid assuming that swimming stops, cliff jumping or other activities are part of every package; confirm the actual itinerary and operator decisions.
Keep photography arrangements separate from participation instructions. If photos are important to you, ask before booking how recording is organised rather than assuming you can use a phone throughout.
Check where the trip finishes and whether transport returns you to the reporting point. Plan for changing clothes and collecting belongings. If photographs or video were purchased, keep the delivery contact and agreed timeline.
Read the packing guide and non-swimmer questions before finalising your plans. Your operator’s requirements take priority over a general checklist.
Use the Anubhav Travel rafting page to ask about available trips, reporting, equipment and eligibility. Knowing what is confirmed lets you focus on the experience rather than sorting out avoidable surprises at the last minute.
Not with Anubhav Travel: swimming is not required. Participants must be between 14 and 60 years old and healthy, with no heart or lung problems.
Ask about the requirements of the specific trip. Do not infer eligibility from promotional language alone.
Confirm the operator’s valuables and recording arrangements. Do not assume personal devices are protected or insured.
