Two rafting quotes can look similar while covering different outings. One may include transport from a reporting point; another may require you to arrange your own journey. A low headline price is useful only when you understand what it buys.
Before paying for river rafting in Rishikesh, compare the complete package rather than the price alone. Ask for the route, operating company, meeting arrangements and final amount in writing.
These are our current per-person prices, including taxes. They can be lower or higher depending on demand and season, and we confirm the exact amount when you book.
| Trip | River distance | Total outing time | Price per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brahmpuri rafting | 9–12 km | About 1–2 hours, including transfers | ₹500 |
| Shivpuri rafting | 16–18 km | About 3 hours, including transfers | ₹800 |
| Marine Drive rafting (advance group booking only) | 24 km | About 5–6 hours | ₹1,200–₹1,800 |
Guide, equipment (life jacket, helmet and paddles) and transport, with hotel pickup depending on location, are included. Photography and video are charged separately at ₹2,000–₹3,000 for the whole raft. See the full details on our rafting page.
Start with the launch and finish points. Package names may use different distance labels, so ask for the approximate river distance and the expected time on the water. Also ask about total outing time, including transfers and preparation. A quoted duration that excludes travel can disrupt the rest of your day.
Check whether the departure is shared or private and whether it needs a minimum number of participants. A per-person shared-trip price should not be compared directly with a whole-raft price. Our route selection guide explains the other questions to resolve before choosing.
Ask whether photographs, video, storage, meals or hotel transfers cost extra. These may be useful additions, but they should be identifiable before payment. Do not assume that an item pictured in an advertisement is included.
Use a simple calculation: participant charges plus agreed extras equals the amount your group will pay. If a shared trip is quoted per person, multiply by the number of confirmed participants. For a private trip, ask whether the quote covers the whole raft and whether increasing the group changes the price or arrangement.
For example, if your group receives a quote for six people, request a total for all six including taxes and selected extras. This avoids different group members paying against different assumptions. The shared versus private guide covers the practical tradeoffs.
Read what happens if you cancel, arrive late, change dates or cannot meet participation requirements. Separately check what happens if the operator cancels or changes the route because of conditions. A promised alternative date may not suit a short holiday, so understand the options before paying.
Keep the quote, receipt and booking confirmation together. If anything changes, request an updated confirmation rather than relying on an earlier advertisement.
Send your date, group size and preferred route through the rafting enquiry page. Ask for an itemised total and the actual inclusions. The exact price for your date is confirmed when you book.
Price alone does not show the operating arrangements, equipment provision, eligibility checks or transport. Compare complete quotes for comparable trips.
No inclusion should be assumed. Confirm the cost, delivery method and what happens if recording is unavailable.
